Beverley Head began writing about the business of technology in London in 1983 for a range of magazines before moving to Australia in 1986 to work on Computerworld Australia. In 1987 Beverley moved to the Australian Financial Review where she was the IT editor for a decade, taking the once weekly section daily before becoming the newspaper’s features editor. 

Now a freelance writer she continues to focus on business and technology and has written for a wide range of publications including The Age, BRW, Boss, CIO , Government Technology Review, Campus Review and The Sydney Morning Herald. In 2004 she was awarded the Kester Cranswick lifetime achievement award for her work as an IT journalist. 

Beverley, who was born in the North of England, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Metallurgy and the Science of Materials from Oxford University.
