The NBN was born out of political controversy. The burgeoning digital economy demands ubiquitous future-proof broadband access to return its dividends of massive social benefits, service delivery and productivity improvements, and global business opportunities. But not everyone foresees the benefits nor is comfortable with the costs. Mike Quigley addresses the challenges and the lessons learned in managing the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken in Australia.
