Alex Grant

Each year TelSoc hosts the Henry Sutton Oration in Melbourne to commemorate the distinguished Victorian scientist, engineer and inventor from Ballarat, Henry Sutton - who is scarcely known, but had a string of accomplishments and innovations in many areas.

This year, we are pleased to have a distinguished academic and serial innovator in his own right who has agreed to give the 2016 oration:

Professor Alex Grant, CEO of Myriota, founder of Cohda Wireless and previously Professor of Information Theory at the University of SA:

?Satellites, Cars and the Internet of Things: The challenges and rewards of crossing the boundary between academia and industry?

Please join TelSoc for a live broadcast of the event in Adelaide, which is being kindly sponsored by Myriota Pty Ltd (www.myriota.com).
