Supported by the CSIRO STEM in Schools Program

Thursday, 7th April 2016

Registration is essential for this FREE event open to all members and non-members

This event is fully booked or has passed.

Coopers InnThe TelSoc would like to invite all members and industry professionals to a quarter year professional and social networking event. There will be little in the way of formalities, just a focus on getting as many people as possible connected around any topic of interest.

The CSIRO Scientists, Technologists, Engineering and Mathematicians (STEM) in Schools program will be featured at the event.  As Australia’s largest skilled volunteering program for STEM professionals the CSIRO offers industry participants the opportunity to make a positive difference to the education of Australian students from kindergarten to senior secondary. This program helps to address the critical shortage of STEM skills in industry and the declining participation rates of school students undertaking STEM subjects in school.  Managed by CSIRO, the program creates flexible partnerships by matching professionals and educators based on select criteria. Once matched, the CSIRO team provides ongoing support through resources, ideas, personal contact, events and workshops.  For more information see: http://www.csiro.au/en/Education/Programs/SMiS.

This is a FREE event, but registration is essential (see below). Some food will be provided. Drinks will be at regular bar prices.
