Brett Bowden

University of Western Sydney

Brett Bowden is Professor of History and Politics at Western Sydney University and Visiting Professorial Fellow at the University of New South Wales at the Australian Defence Force Academy, Canberra. His recent major publications include Civilization and War (Edward Elgar, 2013) and the multi-award?winning Empire of Civilization: The Evolution of an Imperial Idea (University of Chicago Press, 2009). Brett?s latest book is Direct Hit: The Bombing of Darwin Post Office (Rosenberg, 2016).
