Linda Leung

Dr Linda Leung is an Associate Professor in the School of Software, Faculty of Engineering & IT, University of Technology Sydney. Her research is centred on how technology is appropriated and used by minority groups. Her first book, 'Virtual Ethnicity: Race, Resistance & the World Wide Web' (2005) was published by Ashgate. She oversees postgraduate courses in Interactive Multimedia, and teaches in the areas of digital experience design and user experience. Her second book, 'Digital Experience Design: Ideas, Industries, Interaction' was published in 2008 through Intellect Books. She is now working on her third book, 'Technologies of Refuge & Displacement: Rethinking Digital Divides' which consolidates her recent work on refugees and their uses of technology.
