One of the leading unsolved mysteries in Australia, on a par with the disappearance of Harold Holt, is the case of the Somerton Man. This was a very athletically fit man found in a nice suit lying deceased on Somerton Beach in 1948. The mystery is that there was no mark on him and there was nothing to identify him. No one came forward to identify him either.
