Reports on the use of mobile phones and the internet in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Australia. It reinforces the need for more research into barriers to phone and internet usage by Aboriginal and Torres Strait people in remote areas, as well as the importance of informing remote community members of their telecommunications rights.

M-Enabling Australasia 2013 is two days of discussion and practical demonstrations on how mobile technologies can benefit people with disability and older people. It will feature local and international experts on accessible technologies, mobile service providers, developers, manufacturers, retail and business groups, regulators, policymakers, and organisations representing people with disability and older people.
