TelSoc News and Events
I hope as many of you possible took the chance to watch yesterday's Charles Todd Oration, which was a very successful event.
The actual oration in Sydney was well attended and the Minister, the Hon Michelle Rowland, made a great speech touching on a wide range of topics. She emphasised that many topics in Telecommunications are urgent, so it is important to prioritise and concentrate on the most important first. She seemed to have a large and comprehensive agenda!
We shared the event over Zoom with two very successful satellite events in Melbourne and Adelaide, as well as with individual TelSoc Members elsewhere.
If you couldn't make it on Friday, we will be putting up an edited copy in a few days.
Please look for this on the event webpage.
As part of the proceedings, Peter Gerrand made a formal presentation of the 2022 Charles Todd Medal to David Piltz, recently retired from Telstra and from the Chair of Heritage Telecommunications Ltd (HTL).
