TelSoc Annual General Meeting – Wednesday 25 November 2026 at 5.00 pm
This is a formal notice to all members of the Association that the 2026 Annual General Meeting will be held online at 5.00 pm on Wednesday 25 November 2026 commencing at 5.00 pm AEDT.
Financial Members and Life Members of TelSoc: Please register your intention to attend the AGM by completing the details on this webpage as soon as possible so that the Board will know who is attending and can be assured of a quorum. I will send out the reports that are to be considered by the AGM as soon as they are available, and also the Zoom link to join the AGM closer to time.
The TelSoc Board has approved the following notice and agenda for the meeting:
NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The thirteenth Annual General Meeting of the Telecommunications Association Inc. (TelSoc) will be held as follows:
Date: Wednesday, 25 November 2026
Time: 5.00 pm AEDT [Eastern Daylight time]
Place: Online Zoom meeting only [Zoom link to be supplied to all Members]
Business:
- To confirm the Minutes of the twelfth Annual General Meeting held on 26 November
- To receive and consider the Annual Report of the Board, presented by the President, for the year ended 30 June
- To receive and consider the Financial Statements of the Association and the Treasurer’s Report for the year ended 30 June
- To receive a report on the Journal of Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, by the Editor in Chief of the Journal.
- To appoint a Returning Officer for the election of Officers.
- To elect Officers and other members of the Board to hold office until the next Annual General Meeting of the
- To consider and vote on the following resolutions:
Resolution: That this AGM of the Association confirms that the fee for individual members of the Association for the current year (from 1 July 2026) shall be $120 per annum, and resolves that the fee for members from 1 July 2027 shall also be $120 per annum.
Resolution: That this AGM of the Association confirms that the annual fee for other classes of membership shall be determined for the current year (from 1 July 2026) and for the year commencing 1 July 2027 by the Board of the Association.
- To consider any General Business if the majority of members at the meeting agree to consider that General
Proxies: A member may appoint another member as a proxy for the meeting. A proxy form is available on the TelSoc website. A form appointing a proxy that is sent by post or electronically to the Association is of no effect unless received by the Association by close of business (6pm) the day before the AGM. However, a form appointing a proxy may be handed to the Chairperson of the meeting before the commencement of the meeting. This may be by “technological means”.
