Help select the Charles Todd Medalist for 2014

Have your say in celebrating the best contributors to Australian telecommunications! Nominations for the Charles Todd Medal 2014 are now invited from members of TelSoc.

Click here or follow the CTM 2014 form menu item when you are logged in to http://telsoc.org. Multiple nominations per member are allowed.

The Charles Todd Medal is named in honour of the leader of the team which connected Darwin to Adelaide by telegraph in 1872 and thus Australia to London and the rest of the world. Arguably, the global telegraph network was the original digital 'world wide web'.

This award is for outstanding contributions to Australian telecommunications. Two medals were awarded in 2013, to Michael Malone, founder of iiNet, and to Mike Quigley, founding CEO of NBN Co. One medal  will be awarded this year.

The final selection will be made by a committee including members of the TelSoc Board plus invited representatives of the wider telecommunications industry.

Recognising key contributors is an important part of developing and sustaining excellence in our industry and so your input to this initiative is greatly encouraged.

Nominations close on Monday 29 September 2014.
