TelSoc News and Events

Dear [user:field-first-name],

It is the time of year for renewal of your TelSoc Membership.
We have kept this at $120 (no gst) for a number of years and you can usually claim this against personal tax. If you renew now, you can submit a claim with this year’s tax return.

Please go to TelSoc.org, login, click “Renew” (top right)

If you have problems logging in, choose “Join”, to join as a new member.
Thank you if you have already renewed. If you bought a two-year membership last year, you will be already valid to 30/6/2022.

To get a receipt/invoice, please first renew and pay, then go to Account, choose “Order History” and select the last item (your Renewal).

Any problems, please contact the Treasurer, Tim Herring, at treasurer@telsoc.org

Best regards
Tim Herring, Treasurer and Executive Director

Why Should I Pay?

  • Despite Covid restrictions, TelSoc has found new life in Online Events, with the added bonus that they are available Australia-wide (and beyond) for all Members and not just those able to attend in person.
  • We have had problems putting on our flagship events, the Charles Todd Oration and the Henry Sutton Oration, but are hoping these will be back to normal later this year.
  • The seminars from the TelSoc Broadband Futures Group have been very popular and TelSoc is doing its best to persuade the government and the industry of new and innovative ideas and opportunities (for the nbn, 5G and beyond).
  • CommsWire has just been upgraded and is a good read every day of the working week. Check out recent copies.
  • All TelSoc Members are required to pay the annual membership to take part

Please continue to support TelSoc – soon to celebrate 150 years in 2024!
