This MEMBERS ONLY event incorporates a sandwich lunch, the TelSoc's Annual General Meeting and a lecture about the nbn Satellite program presented by Gavin Williams - nbn Executive General Manager - New Developments, Wireless & Satellite.

Skymuster, the first nbn satellite, has been successfully launched on 1st October after many years of planning and development.  Whilst nbn has adopted a multi-technology-mix for its fixed network services, the satellite program has remained largely unchanged through the evolution of the nbn.  Yet it is the part of the nbn that will truly bring broadband to all Australians. Will this single satellite really have a broadband capacity equal to the whole of Australia? What are the plans for number two?

The AGM formalities will start at 12pm and includes a buffet sandwich lunch.  Gavin's presentation will run 1pm to 2pm.
