Background:

In November 2020, TelSoc published a report: Towards a National Broadband Strategy for Australia, 2020-2030. The Digital Economy Strategy (DES) comes closest to meeting the strategic elements in that plan, closer than other government initiatives. The purpose of the event is to discover how the DES has fared since May 2021, how it is being implemented, and future development of the strategy it contains. Many of the matters that TelSoc envisages might be raised in Q&A might relate to its proposals for extending the DES.
