University of Melbourne

Bob Warfield lectures part time as an Honorary Fellow in the Melbourne School of Engineering at the University of Melbourne.  He teaches telecommunication network technology, design, and management as well as business management for engineers.  Following a BE (?70) and PhD (?80) from the University of NSW, he spent several years as an engineer and researcher at Telstra Research Laboratories, then a decade  as a Research Manager there, with one year at Bellcore in New Jersey as a Visiting Researcher.  He has experience working for a startup company, beginning with a small group of enthusiastic people sitting around a single table, and culminating in an industry sale four years later.  He also has consulted for industry and government, and whilst doing so managed to acquire a Master of eBusiness from RMIT (?03).
