Matthew Allen is the incoming Head of School, Communication and Creative Arts at Deakin University, having previously been Professor of Internet Studies, Curtin University. Matthew worked at Curtin University since 1994, establishing and sustaining a program of Internet research and education from 1999 onwards. Matthew is the author of various articles and papers on things Internet, as well as online learning, television, popular culture and Australian history, most recently focusing on Web 2.0 both as a social construct and as an opportunity for innovative teaching and learning.
