Financial members of TelSoc are invited to nominate candidates for the 2017 Charles Todd Medal using the form below. This medal will be awarded to the individual considered to have made the most outstanding contribution to Australian telecommunications in recent years.
The Charles Todd Medal is named in honour of the man who undoubtedly made a substantial contribution to telecommunications as leader and organiser of the team which connected Darwin to Adelaide by telegraph in 1872. This provided the link to London and the rest of the world - in a sense, the very first "world wide web".
Your nomination(s) will be considered by a Selection Committee which will make its recommendation to the TelSoc Board. The Selection Committee will include members of the TelSoc Board plus external representatives of the wider telecommunications industry.
Nominations close on Friday 29th September 2017 and the award will be presented at the annual Charles Todd Oration in Sydney on Thursday 26th October 2017.
Recognising key contributors is an important part of developing and sustaining excellence in our industry and your input to this initiative is greatly encouraged and appreciated. Previous winners of the award are very welcome to nomiate others but may not themselves be considered for the 2017 medal.
Please register your nomination(s) by close of business on Friday 29th September 2017 by completing the form below.
Thank you for your participation.
