[3] Telstra is rebuilding its networks with virtualisation, orchestration and automation to deliver highly scalable product solutions.
Crispin Blackall's presentation will describe the associated network transition and how microservices will drive speed and agility in how we build new products and services.
The basis of Crispin's presentation was presented in May to the Tele Management Forum (TMF) Live [4] event in Nice, France.
After Crispin's presentation ends at 1.30pm, there will be an opportunity for you to network with your industry colleagues over tea and coffee until 2.00pm.

Crispin started in book publishing and spent the first 10 years of his career in media and advertising. In the early 1990s he became fascinated by the emerging opportunities coming from the Internet. This led to a change in career direction and now he has over 20 years in technology and telecommunications. Crispin has led roles in Innovation, IT, engineering and operations.
Today Crispin is the Director, Consumer Product Engineering at Telstra. He leads the Consumer and Mobility team and is responsible for designing, building and lifecycle managing world class products that span mobile and fixed, broadband, voice, video, messaging, connected home and the Internet of Things technologies.
Telstra is currently undergoing a significant network transformation, as part of that Crispin championed Telstra?s early adoption of SDN and NFV. Now he is focused on how to use a microservices architecture, orchestration and automation to deliver higher resilience and availability as well as reducing the time taken to deploy compelling products offers to markets.
Crispin holds an MBA from RMIT University Melbourne.
