Digital Infrastructure: Driving productivity in the age of AI

Date and Time: 13/08/2026

Luke Coleman, CEO, Australian Telecommunications Alliance (ATA)

TelSoc has pleasure in announcing a lunchtime webinar featuring AI policy and sovereignty, digital infrastructure and productivity.  The webinar will be held on Thursday, 13 August 2026, from 12.30 p.m. AEST.

We are honoured to have Luke Coleman, the CEO of the Australian Telecommunications Alliance , as our speaker.  Luke has presented at TelSoc lunchtime webinars before – in the first half of 2025 – and his return to pursue various themes of importance to the industry and to customers is overdue.

The Australian Government’s policy agenda has put the spotlight on productivity growth and ‘AI in Australia’s interests’. Central to that agenda is Australia’s sovereignty, local capability, and economic resilience. What is required to deliver ‘AI in Australia’s interests’, and what role can the telecommunications sector play as the disruptive impact of AI is felt across the economy?  Luke will set the scene and address these and related questions.

As with all TelSoc lunchtime events, Luke’s presentation will be followed by a Q&A session in which TelSoc members and industry colleagues will be able to raise questions and issues. Past experience suggests that these sessions are invariably incredibly interesting and informative. Given Luke’s substantial experience in the sector, his presentation and participation in the Q&A will be well worth your time.
