John Goddard will present a timely review of the past, present and future HFC CATV technology directions, the global opportunities for Multi Service Operators (MSO) and relevance of HFC to Australia's NBN.
HFC infrastructure is a significant, scalable asset for Multiple System Operators. The transparency and flexibility of the HFC plant has enabled Cable MSOs in the USA, Japan, Korea and Europe to quickly assimilate new technologies and respond to competitive pressure through a series of cost effective extensions and augmentations to their existing networks. This has made Cable MSOs some of the leading providers of Triple Play services (Voice, Video, and Data) which often usurp the established telephony carriers whom are struggling to meet their customer's growing data speed and service demands.
Come along to better understand HFC technologies including:
- Global experience
- Cost effectiveness and scalability
- Opportunities in Australia
- Applications for the NBN
