Xuan Thu Dang was involved in the ambient orb project in 2010 that explored using ambient technology to create a presence in the classroom for hospitalised children. Prior to that, he worked as a lecturer of interpreting and translation at Hanoi University, Vietnam. Thu is currently a doctoral (Ed.D) student at La Trobe University, undertaking research on the use of information and communications technology (ICT) in language teaching in Vietnam. His research interests include technologies in teaching, learning and research, e-learning and mobile learning.
