Chien Aun Chan received his M. Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2005 and 2010, respectively. Currently he is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Energy-Efficient Telecommuncations (CEET) at the University of Melbourne where he leads the project on Energy Rating of Internet Services. His research interests include optical communications, optical access networks, energy efficiency of the Internet, cloud computing and content distribution networks.
