Khandakar Ahmed received his PhD from School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia in October, 2014. He achieved his M.Sc. in Erasmus Mundus Networking and e-Business Centered Computing (EMNeBCC) in 2011 under the joint consortia of University of Reading, UK; Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain and B.Sc. (Engg.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh in 2006.

Currently, he is working as a researcher in Networking Research Group of SECE, RMIT University. He is also associated with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh as an Assistant Professor. His research interest includes Software Defined Wireless Networking, distributed computer systems with an emphasis on in-network Data Centric Storage of Wireless Sensor Network, peer-to-peer and content delivery network and Cloud Computing.  He is a member of the IEEE, reviewer of the Elsevier?s Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing and acted as Session Chair at ATNAC 2014. His research works have been published in conferences, journals and peer-reviewed book chapters.
