ACCC won't declare mobile roaming, still wants to improve regional mobile coverage The ACCC has decided not to declare domestic mobile roaming, but has detailed ?a range of regulatory and policy measures that could improve inadequate mobile phone coverage and poor quality of service in regional Australia". The decision has prompted a flurry of responses from telecoms stakeholders.

Pre-Budget call on govt to reassess ?bad debt? rollout of NBN Internet Australia has taken up the ?good debt bad debt? pre-Budget debate sparked by the Federal Treasurer Scott Morrison, with IA chair Anne Hurley calling on both the Government and the Opposition to ensure that funding going to the National Broadband Network is good debt.

ACCC decides against declaration of mobile roaming The competition watchdog has cast aside industry opposition and concerns and made a draft decision not to declare wholesale mobile roaming services, saying there is insufficient evidence that such a declaration will improve competition amongst telcos.
