Mike Miller

University of South Australia

Professor Mike Miller spent nine years with Telecom Australia and 35 years in the University of South Australia, where he was Professor of Telecommunications and Foundation Director of the Institute for Telecommunications Research (ITR).

He is Professor Emeritus at UniSA, and serves on several government advisory bodies and is a Director of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.

Mike has received a number of honours and awards for his work. Among these, he was Australian Professional Engineer of the Year in 1995. In 2008 he was awarded an AO (Officer of the Order of Australia) for leadership in the innovation and development of future-generation telecommunications technology.
