Journal of Telecommunications and the Digital Economy

The latest issue of our journal, the Journal of Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, is now available at https://telsoc.org/journal/jtde-v10-n4. Please have a look at it. You can download the full issue (towards the bottom of the issue page) or select individual articles.

We have a strong Public Policy section, with two papers. The first paper summarizes strategies from other countries about increasing the supply and usage of digital broadband services. This paper resulted from an internship project organized by TelSoc at the University of Canberra.

The second Public Policy paper proposes a method for secure electronic voting.

We are pleased to publish a book review by Professor Judith Brett, a well-known political historian and commentator on contemporary Australian politics. She reviews John Doyle’s book, Crossed Lines: Disruption, Politics and Reshaping Australian Telecommunications, which will be of interest to many TelSoc members.

We also report the speeches made at the presentation of the Charles Todd Medal in October 2022 to David Piltz for his work over the past decade to preserve the history and artefacts of Australian telecommunications.

There is a whole variety of other papers on the Digital Economy and Telecommunications. Trust and Security feature in several of them. Please see what you think.

As always, we welcome any comments or feedback you may have.
