Journal of Telecommunications and the Digital Economy
The Journal of Telecommunications and the Digital Economy proudly marks its 90th anniversary with the release of its March 2025 issue. Bridging a storied past and a bold future, this edition features a Special Issue edited by the organisers of the 9th International Conference on Digital Economy (held in Morocco in 2024), entitled ‘Driving the Digital Economy with Cutting-Edge Technologies, Innovation, and Data Analytics,’ exploring AI, fintech, blockchain, and more. Alongside, our Telecommunications section looks into streaming video choice overload and the 6G future powered by IoT. Reflecting on our legacy, the Biography and History sections honour pioneers like Keith Barnes and revisit milestones from 1935 to the Sydney-Melbourne Coaxial Cable.

Congratulations to Michael, Leith and all the Editorial Board – and Simon Moorhead – on the March 2025 isse of the Journal. It handsomely does justice to the origins of TJA.
